Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spikey blonde hair and bubbly personality, reveals simple methods to master and removes the fear of eating at restaurants in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent location to learn. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy, which has influenced her cooking style. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to improve the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her experiences in the food world when she travels throughout the US in various roles such as mentors and speakers. Anne said she felt lucky in that she could share her true passion with the people around her.
