Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, and also a UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out in the form of a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia, who began her professional career at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. The WMC World Championships were also staged in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimity. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized superior strikes in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Antonina Shevchenko was given the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina has recently been knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
