Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. Her career path has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European festivals and clubs up to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta but her origins are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing an interest in music, singing and playing the piano in a church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical instruction began with Atlanta's R&B Scene. She was named the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to serve as the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine was at the center of attention for all of the country during four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
